Northeast Regional Conference
On July 20th I left Weymouth with 3 other members from the Alpha Iota Chapter of DKG for the Northeast Regional Conference in Burlington Vermont. We stopped in Concord NH for lunch and we saw Joanne and Terri (also from MA ) at the restaurant. Overall, we had a great week. We took a tour of the back roads of Vermont on Tuesday. On Wed. I attended a technology workshop. That afternoon there was a Craft show and buffet dinner. The conference officially began that night and was followed by Vermont Night. Thursday, Friday and Saturday I attended the general sessions and workshops. I learned some new things and I met some new people. Friday night over 400 DKG members took the Ethan Allen Dinner Cruise on Lake Champlain. The Banquet on Saturday night was very nice. On Sunday most people headed out of town. We stayed and went to Shelburne Museum. This a fascinating place-the women who started the museum had a vast collection of different items-paintings, dolls, circus figures, pewter etc. Then on Monday we drove back to Massachusetts. It was a wonderful week...I can't wait for next year's International Convention in Spokane, Washington!
